This is an overview with step-by-step photos. Full ingredients & instructions are in the recipe card below.
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large mixing bowl combine baking mix, water and cheese. Mix well to a thick consistency.
2. Use a cookie scoop to portion the biscuit mix onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes.
3. While the biscuits are baking, whisk together butter, garlic powder onion powder, salt and parsley.
4. When the biscuits are finished, immediately baste them with the butter topping while still warm.
5. Serve biscuits immediately with your favorite seafood supper.
If you have leftovers or want to make these ahead, they can easily be reheated in a 400-degree oven. Wrap them in foil and bake for 5-7 minutes. Brush them with a little extra melted butter to really bring them back to life.
Be sure to stir very well to incorporate the shredded cheese evenly. This batter will be very thick.
A cookie scoop is perfect for forming the biscuits. I keep them abstract but feel free to roll them into balls for more uniform biscuits.
Margarine will not taste the same as melted butter.
If you can't tell if the biscuits are baked through, use a toothpick to test the middle.
If you reheat biscuits, add some freshly melted butter to make them taste fresh again.
